Pros and Cons to Open Communication

Pros:

• Parents can see and communicate what their children are doing at school

• It is more relational

• You can be easily accessed to help students and parents

Cons:

• The emails come straight to you and its on you to reply and communicate

• It can consume your time because all of your students can contact you

• It can be totally overwhelming trying to process emails!

Ways to Counteract This:

• Write a DONE wall

• Focus on the things that you have already achieved and celebrate it

GTD (Getting Things Done)

A process developed for Business so people can structure their progress. This process is a good way to get on with things and prioritise what is most important
